Stoppard actually holds the Tony record for playwrihjts. Not that he cared, I'm sure! (Runner up is T. McNally, if you count his Best Book for musicals.)

Oh no. Such a powerful presence. I had the rare privilege of seeing her Mary Tyrone (1999 at Syracuse Stage. Opposite your other star of the day, Sam Waterston!) Her diminuitive size compared to her castmates made her perf all the more striking.

Lahr asked to see the shed Miller wrote "Death of a Salesman" in. (A shed he built himself, of course). Miller had since moved but the shed was still on the old property, now owned by someone else. So Miller goes there and says, "Hi, I wrote my play in your shed. Can I show it to my friend?" 2/2
