Holy shit, did he have a “come legally or don’t come” sign? If so, I gave that dude the finger when I drove under that bridge yesterday. He was pacing back and forth like a lunatic.

I literally got my ear pierced when I was 12 because I saw a cool picture of a pirate with an earring and a cool (definitely apocryphal) portrait of Shakespeare with an earring and was like “oh, you need an earring to be cool”

I love us, but we are not the most humble people! I mean, totally accurate and correct in our self-assessments, but not humble!

My wife and I had a similar day on Monday and ended up getting our coffee three hours after we intended to. On Tuesday we made our coffee before we left the house, so our tactics are evolving!

I made the mistake of reading it to my son when he was about 11 years old. The journey from him wanting that room so bad to being scarred probably forever was quick and brutal.

I was just thinking yesterday of sending in a question to Watchmen asking you and Devin if you had thoughts on this series!

Not good when the cheap Halloween costume looks highly accurate:

Agreed! Also liked Smee’s mannerisms, his pouty childishness was my favorite of all the kids. Would love to know why the eyeball fought the xenomorph on the ship, but I don’t trust that the answer will be as interesting as the question.

I liked the eyeball and the ticks were pretty good in parts. I never once felt like they understood what is scary or interesting about the xenomorph. Just a bunch of shots of its perfect metal teeth and it standing around in well lit spaces.
The music choices were baffling.

The music choices on this show are all so weird. I usually can’t even guess what they were trying to say/do with them.

I hate to say it, but I lived there for 8 years and never had one. I saw them, but assumed they were not good based on absolutely no information.

@mamalewts.bsky.social is your kid’s entry up somewhere I can see and show my kid? We haven’t seen any other entries (which is weird for a game jam, right?)

My kid was heartbroken when he got the email. Real hard to pull a positive lesson out of this one, but I guess a reminder that things don’t always make sense or follow the rules will never not be applicable.

The Challenger.
Also, Where the Red Fern Grows.

I feel like I am the exception to that rule. I don’t have anything that will run CP or feel like I can spend the $ on a PS when I have a kid who would rather have a Switch. Switch 2 makes both of us happy.

@jasonschreier.bsky.social @midimyers.com Not either of your usual beat, but is there a story in the NSF ghosting maybe 1000s of kids who built games from scratch for their game jam? The winners were supposed to be announced 4/2. My son and his team put 100s of hrs in and I am sure others did, too
