Dude, why choose to hate on our moment of joy? Yes it's meaningless, but also - we're the ones who won! The last time the Knicks won an NBA title (had to double check) was over a decade before I was born. Who do you root for anyway?

That's great to hear. Don't forget about CUNY too. New York's (state and city) public higher ed systems are under-appreciated for all the good they do on these counts.
