To survive these 4 yrs, I'm going to focus on two things I love: reading & writing. And offer support to survivors of sexual assault. Not just to the 26 who credibly say POTUS did it to them. But to the 1 in 5 women whom statistics tell us experience it. #smalljoys matter. So does kindness.
In all honesty, I'm having trouble finishing this novel. It's brilliant, but just a little too true an examination of how we are handling climate change. But if you love good writing about a difficult world, get it! #kimstanleyrobinson #readtolive #booksmatter

And to show I'm not picking on NPR, I see NYT is doing the same thing. If #Zelenky isn't there, these aren't peace talks. I write children's books, not anything political, but I can see what's happening. Any ideas on how to help #Ukraine now that the US isn't? Pls. let me know!

I love NPR -- give money, listen, etc. BUT the headline itself announces that peace talks aren't on the table. Appeasement and partition talks are. I get the media is walking a tricky line, but try reporting on what's happening. @timothysnyder.bsky.social does. Why can't reporters?

I sincerely don’t know why people aren’t physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons

I got through the 1st yr of the last Trump Chaos Show by reading novels by Anthony Trollope. It really helped, but I'm currently stuck 100 pages into Doctor Thorne. I know people knitting toward sanity, but I need a book. Any suggestions? #anthonytrollope #readinghelpseverything
