A favorite small, but revealing bit:
"Starmer’s press release suggested AI-powered cameras spotting potholes in need of repair. But what blocks pothole repair is not finding them, but that local council funding is down 40 percent since 2010."
AI has its uses and is transformative to a point but its utility has been grossly overstated. Too few promoting "AI governance" and other such buzzwords understand how it works.
