Owner-operator of Liverpool's premier bijou editorial services provider, Bus Stop. Occasional bus traveller. Used to be a small deal.
He was Alastair Campbell's Number 2 when I encountered him "number 2" being extremely appropriate in my opinion.

It would explain all the right-wing stuff.

Sorry.

Noooooo!

It does remind me very much of the kerfuffle surrounding Dan Jarvis in 2015.

Look, Eddie, which of us can truly understand what goes on in the minds of titans like Louis Walsh?
February 5, 2026 at 3:11 PM
We're never going to know until we ask Louis Walsh in person. Can you please set it up?
February 5, 2026 at 2:52 PM
We're talking about a guy who changed the name of his next group to Westlife because it sounded a bit like Westside (which they couldn't use because there was already a band of that name).

As I said to @londonreviewbookshop.co.uk, that wasn't really a thing in Ireland.
February 5, 2026 at 2:44 PM
You must have a much higher opinion of Louis Walsh than I have.
February 5, 2026 at 2:40 PM
I've given this far too much thought in the past.
February 5, 2026 at 2:37 PM
He is, but it wasn't distributed in Ireland, probably on account of it being a dirty black Protestant publication. There was an Irish Catholic version called Our Boys, which he might have read.
February 5, 2026 at 2:26 PM
There is absolutely no way Louis Walsh employed that level of subtlety when coming up with the name.
February 5, 2026 at 2:21 PM
No. On can.

Bob Mortimer is omnipresent.
