I became disabled 15 years ago. I was always aware of disabled people/people with disabilities. I grew up with friends with disabilities.
The UNCRPD says it in Art 8, AWARENESS.
I can honestly say that a large amount of able people has no idea about disability and the issues. None.

After my TBI's and an extremely unexpected survival. I was prayed for so much to various Gods out there and being Irish, I was given enough Holy water from Lourdes to float a battleship!

Sometimes yes if I feel they might need help. I have sent people who were lost in the right direction and on one occasion I assisted somebody who was overloading, being non neurotypical, I spotted the signs and was able to assist them. It would be worse if they ignored you.

You are missing the point being made, as you do a lot.
Disability inclusion and access should be part of any and every design in the urban realm.
Pedestrians and all vehicles should never be in the same space, ever.
The inventor of shared space is quoted saying. UK design it wrong!
It's a mindset.

The fact is it never comes into you planning that there are disaboed people who cannot active travel or that pedestrians come first in the street hierarchy.
You are pushing your personal beliefs. aka cycling, which does not fit with the majority of the disability community.

I am invisible disabled, there are times I need help and people avoid me as I could be drunk or something.
Awareness is Art 8 UNCRPD of equality and inclusion.

You must stop what happened in the USA does not happen elsewhere. A woman tried to sue an airline as they refused to let here "Assistance Animal" on board. It was a Peacock!
People take advantage of the system, which is what must stop. One poorly trained dog ruins it for professionally trained dogs.

Yet you still created barriers for disabled children to attend mainstream schools! Not every child can walk or cycle!
