'Grounds' is a hangover word that the first generation of New Town blow-ins (like me lol) used. It was symptomatic of the neglect that prevailed during the latter part of the 20th C. Visible in your pic is a designed landscape & arboretum....most definitely a 'Garden'. 🌷🌳

Build new arts spaces and they'll come. Oh wait, we can't afford to run & programme these spaces, never mind commissioning new work. Buying a lottery ticket wasn't the only gamble. 🙄
