Heating Cheerios up is for civilized folk.

I am a wild animal.

nice lady: What the hell are you doing?
me: Eating dinner.
lady: You just put barbecue sauce in your Cheerios.
me: Yeah. It’s, like, 4 o’clock. I can’t use milk. That’d be breakfast.
lady: …. Savage.

On a boat for the next six and a half hours, and I really don’t understand why I’m so delighted by the idea of it sinking. Shit has been rough lately, but that doesn’t mean I’m ready for the ship to go down.

Unless I can thusly form a partnership with a castaway horse and live on a desert island

Good night, Gatcat. Good work. Sleep well. I'll most likely kill you in the morning.

Okay, apparently tonight was surprise karaoke night, so I snuck in one last song, and even if I didn’t nail every note of this never-rehearsed song “what does the fox say,” I had the audience in my paw. Good swan song. 🦊🐾

Last karaoke in this town, at least for this year. Probably most empowering & gratifying experience yet at the mic, between the pre-song chanting of my name, the audience participation (I sang an interactive crowd pleaser), and the after-song acclamation. Killed it. Hasta. *mic drop*
a fox is hiding in the woods with a n on the bottom right
Alt: a wild fox stands up on his hind legs, dancing and singing along with a song we cannot hear

"I Contain Multitudes"

This digitally painted piece honors coyote by tracing its lineage from the first cells of life to the animal trotting our cities and the wilderness today.

The thread gives descriptions of all the extinct organisms shown in this piece (not to scale)
This digitally painted piece honors the survivor spirit of the coyote by tracing its lineage from the first cells of life to the animal trotting our landscapes today. Below the horizon, carefully chosen ancestors mark pivotal moments in adaptation, each contributing to the form and survivor we see today. Above the horizon, Coyote stands alert at the center, framed by both Denver’s skyline and a mountain backdrop, symbols of their ability to thrive in cities as well as wilderness. Embedded in the ground are the skulls and bones of carnivores whose lineages ended long ago, emphasizing Coyote’s persistence in contrast.

Oh frith, I thought I was running out of money, but I just looked at my bank balances and it’s nowhere near as dire as I’ve been imagining. I’m going to be okay. Everything is going to be fine. It’s fine. 🔥🐶

She also described me as extremely strong, also a surprise (see, I do not bother with “exercise;” that is for mortals). On a high note, I apparently have been healing very rapidly, perhaps even supernaturally so. Now if only I can shake this sciatica before my billion-hour plane ride.

Physical therapist this morning was pushing down on my pelvis and thanked me for “being so bony.” I don’t think anyone has ever called me bony in my life, but I ain’t complaining. 💀

I think I was born with some supernatural stress deflecting ability. I thought it was a coyote thing, but now I know too many stressed out coyotes for that to be true. I do my best to help those around me dodge their stress. Ultimately it’s not up to me, but I’d share you my armor if I could.

“I smell weird, and I hope people notice”

go home, Gat. You’re drunk.

(and smelly)

My nose has a tiny scab on it that looks like a freckle, because that’s where my glasses rest. The moon will come out again. I peed on a signpost, and nobody else has peed on it louder since. My cells and molecules have business that I’m not aware of. I smell weird, and I hope people notice.

Whoooahh dang. Golly. We’re living in an endless Onion headline.
