mocked my cat in the past bc we thought he had a blockage & spent over $1k only to find out he was so upset by me bringing home a ferret that he just stopped urinating but joke's on me bc i apparently stressed myself into an irritated bladder. i hope he's laughing at me from beyond the grave.

sleep. the pre-op appt took a lot of my time/energy today, and i have ONE errand to run tomorrow, then i'm gonna finish this 2-char piece and do woodburnings. hoping to finish all of those this week and get started on fursuit stuff i owe. hoping to finish those asap. really just trying to catch up.

basically, he explained that the internal suturing is different for no drains vs drains. if you have no drains, they use way more internal sutures to keep the space where fluid would normally build up together to prevent it. and you have to wear the binder longer, which doesn't bother me!

he mentioned that it could lead to some fluid buildup but that he's had success with multiple ppl with local anesthesia/ultrasound and using a needle to draw out the fluid at follow up appointments. which i think i'd rather go with over drains honestly.

back from the thing. apparently my surgeon does no drains for some ppl and said i was a good candidate for it. everyone cross your fingers.
