Everyone is required to select at least six new pronouns, three of them invented on the spot.

It's subtle, but if you say NEWhaven rather than New HAVen, it's clear that you're from somewhere else.

My then-BIL lived with us in the Grad Ghetto for an entire summer and we failed to break him of that habit no matter how much Modern pizza he ate.

What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?

That makes no sense. Either he's demented or he isn't.

Right, I mean this is clearly a family that has made an active choice to be Large, but they're not being bankrupted by childcare and education costs like a similar family in the US would be.

Places have personalities. Would love to see @nkjemisin.bsky.social give us a short story about this in the vein of the utterly brilliant THE CITY WE BECAME ...

It's interesting seeing the different ways resistance has formed in different cities. Los Angeles Organized, Chicago Radicalized, and Portland Got Weird as Fuck. All 3 have had success unifying their respective cities.

I guess my point is there are multiple paths to ungovernability.
