Now to be fair I don't think 'talking' is an instant disqualifier. You can do talking animals and make them great - Baldur's Gate 3 has 50 of them.

But ATLUS clearly can't do it. They've had two shots, they missed twice.

I know they're gonna do it again, but fuck I wish they wouldn't.

Its just such a... shame? All of a sudden? To learn that actually, they DID do an animal character well, they just... decided to do it terribly after that?

Koromaru is -note perfect- and I genuinely found myself thinking 'I wish the other Persona teams had a pet' but remembering that wait, *they do*, they're just *AWFUL.*

Like sure, Morgana is only MILDLY bad, but Teddie is quite literally my least favourite video game character of all time.

... Did this person read '70%' as 'the 70s'?

I think this person read '70%' as 'the 70s.'

When you think about it, baby-carrying is just full body weightlifting with extra steps

Eddie Fender is a low-ranking mob goon who they tell stories about at the mid-ranking mob goon meet-ups.

"Did youse hear what Dipshit Eddie cooked up last week?"

Oh I'll be reading them, any scrap of unvoiced text is gold over here xD

My only memory of Fable was that you could get everyone to call you arseface.

I don't want to see a photorealistic arseface.

Never occurred to me that it would be gendered? But admittedly I've never had any cause to have anything to do with one

I'm gonna imagine you mean EU IV, otherwise I'd like to inquire about purchasing access to your time machine.
January 21, 2026 at 5:59 PM
Having played both, I don't have a preference but I do know that each has a very different -mood- suitability and it is nice having both as options as a result.

(Mind you, my history is in the previous ones, CK2 and EU4. CK3 I think has developed a lot and is great, EU5 may be too new for now.)
January 21, 2026 at 5:58 PM
Because of that it lacks a lot of the... flair and flavour? That CK has?

But you have a lot more -control- over everything. I like Crusader Kings for how it can surprise me but it frustrates when things just go to hell and I can't do a thing about it.

I like EU for keeping both hands on the wheel.
January 21, 2026 at 5:56 PM
Crusader Kings leans closer to a feudal lord life sim, almost. It *is* a map strategy game, but you play a -character- and random narrative events will happen to that character, so as said it can be a lot more funny and immersive.

EU is a more traditional map strategy game - you are a nation.

Disc- nope, it's already been said. 6 minute old post and it's already been said. The world is good sometimes.

Yeah, they pivoted to remakes right when the current narrative had smacked into a major cliffhanger, too 🤣

Last time I was near a turned on TV (not common) I saw an ad for an 'Am I the Asshole'? talk show??? Like they just took a subreddit premise, plonked a comedian down onto a hosting chair and... made a show????

As an Australian whose Govt. has just done this very thing, it is not a good idea, but you're right that it shouldn't be a focus for y'all over there right now.

Just know that there's a lot of nuance to examine about it later down the line when things aren't, uh, exploding
