I say this as a white dude - white dudes running for office already have one strike for me.
I am far less prone to trust them, because I grew up as a white dude in America, and I know how easy it is to learn to say the right things while being privately shitty. How much gets forgiven, ignored.

Maybe the bottom line is that all of us are losing our minds, whether we're teaching young drivers or just trying to get somewhere on the road.
