Every time I rewatch this childhood favourite of mine, I appreciate it more and more. Spider-Man is so camp and so funny and also utterly thrilling as an action film too! From the costume designs to the casting and from the special effects to the soundtrack, it’s phenomenal! boxd.it/cMwFqV

X-Men is a superb comic book film that has a big emphasis on its queer allegory to the point that it’s impossible to miss it. Fun, camp and educational too, considering it informs you of what happens when toads are struck by lightning! boxd.it/cLybYN

I’ve always preferred this sequel to its original, but this time around, I prefer the first film. Blade II is still a solid sequel that brings back a lot of what worked the first time around but with a noticeably different style that does work thanks to del Toro’s excellent direction. boxd.it/cKPiGh

Relentlessly cool and entertaining, this is the perfect blend of everything that’s great about both 90s action and 90s horror. Blade is amongst the best Marvel films thanks to its excellent set pieces, incredible soundtrack and the perfect casting of Wesley Snipes in the lead role. boxd.it/cKLt3H

Dark Phoenix is an awful, baffling, and completely pointless mess that completely falls flat with everything it tries to do. There are moments of so bad it’s good entertainment, but mostly, it’s just incredibly boring and incredibly frustrating. boxd.it/cJVzYv

X-Men: Apocalypse suffers from being too long, a forced subplot for Magneto and the miscasting of Jean Grey, but aside from that, it’s a lot of fun, placing the X-Men prequels cast in the 80s with a great villain, lots of excellent action scenes and some great new cast members. boxd.it/cJSNTD

Between the laughably bad CGI, the dire script, Dominic Monaghan and Will.i.am’s lifeless performance, and the baffling depiction of Deadpool, X-Men Origins: Wolverine really is the worst X-Men film, and it only gets worse with each rewatch. https://boxd.it/cJLIgx

The Fantastic 4: First Steps toes the line between dark and fun brilliantly, delivering a superb comic book film that has some of the best CGI and the best score we’ve had in the MCU since Endgame - the space chase scene is one of my favourite sequences from any of these films. boxd.it/cIRqqn

X-Men: Days of Future Past is top tier X-Men, the ultimate film in this franchise that uses all of what works for First Class and the original trilogy as well as doing its own thing to create something truly phenomenal. I love this film, and I love these characters! boxd.it/cFv8Zt

Solo is not perfect, and it is absolutely too long, but sometimes it’s fine to just have a mindless bit of blockbuster fun, and that’s exactly what this film provides. It’s not an essential part of a Star Wars rewatch, but I also don’t think I’d ever choose to not include it. boxd.it/cDLnYJ

Revenge of the Sith has so much heart and such high stakes, & it’s quite possibly THE darkest Star Wars film, & it benefits from all of this, making it easily the best film of the prequel trilogy. A TV show that should be discussed more when it comes to the best Marvel projects, Agent Carter had me hooked from start to finish. From season 1’s grounded street-level crime thriller to the weirdness of season 2, this camp show is phenomenal, has so much to say and deserves more attention!

I’ve never seen The Clone Wars TV show, but this film was a lot of fun! It’s admittedly very obvious that it was just four episodes meant for the show mashed together, and because of this, it feels like it has four separate endings, but aside from that, I had a blast with this! boxd.it/cxYLAX

Much like the rest of this trilogy, Attack of the Clones has moments of greatness scattered throughout, and it’s a lot of fun (mostly in a so-bad-it’s-good kind of way), but it also has the worst dialogue of the franchise, the worst CGI and some really bad pacing too. boxd.it/cxQ1Ah
