The baby Bracken’s Magnolia has been doing great and growing and growing. I’ve wanted a magnolia for years, and while it was sad to lose the redwoods, we are replacing them with trees more appropriate for urban yards. Couldn’t be happier with this beauty. #Sacramento

A bit starstruck & that usually doesn’t happen. Quite a thrill to meet Eddie Mukiibi, Pres of Slow Food & Paolo Di Croce, Director General of Slow Food, on the eve of #TerraMadreAmericas (9-26 - 9-28: terramadreusa.com). Lovely guys – so glad they’re in Sac!

Happy Birthday to my hubby, Mark! Mark’s birthday idea for this year was to be a tourist in his hometown of Los Angeles. We did museums, Disneyland’s 70th, good restaurants, the Farmers Market, & topped it off with a surfing lesson at Venice Beach. It was a ton of fun!

It's great to work in a place that celebrates and doesn't back down. #SacState #StingersUp #PrideMonth

Congratulations to the Class of 2025! Another great “commencement season” #SacramentoState. I had the honor of participating seven ceremonies for the College of Education, from bachelors to the doctorates. Commencements bring out the best in why we love what we do. #StingersUp #MadeAtSacState

Teatro Giuseppe Verdi. Busseto, Italy. The weather was a little moody as it tends to be in northern Italy during the summer, but visiting Busseto was no less amazing.
