I’m usually playing covers gigs these days (bills to pay), but I’ve been revisiting my older Americana inspired songs. I was playing through “Nowhere to Run” this afternoon. My newer stuff is available on my pinned post.

As G&L Guitars have ceased to exist as a company, thought I’d give mine a good play today

On Saturday I had a fun acoustic covers gig at the Settle Inn, in Stirling (which is so old that Jacobites used to frequent it). Always a great place to play but even better when there are folk in who really enjoy what you do 😀. #Scotland

Mine’s no longer around but I’m one myself now. Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there and for all those folk for whom it’s a tricky day (this is us in the 70s)

Just finished an early evening gig at The Settle Inn, in Stirling. Always love playing there. Loads of history, (this fireplace is older than the US) great people and there’s often a dog or two as well

On the anniversary of VE Day, remembering my grandfather, Michael LeDrew and the rest of the merchant sailors like him who left their homelands ,(Canada in his case) and risked their lives during WW2 to ship troops and supplies everywhere they were needed and often under threat. #VEDay

College work today as I do a mixing assignment for the music production module. Very grateful to live in a country where I can access education like this as an adult. #openuniversity

Lost myself in some jamming and playing. I can heartily recommend it, especially now. Here’s 50 seconds or so.

This is one of these things that gets guitarists fighting each other, but I’ve just started doing the old top wrapping thing on my Les Paul. I like it. There’s no massive change but it feels a bit better (I’m using 10-52), is less buzzy and the break angle is far better.

Had a listen while walking around Linlithgow Loch. Really good episode.
