Why does she need to be sworn in? Why can't they just sign a contract? When I went to work somewhere I was not sworn in, I signed a contract, and if I didn't do my job I'd be fired.

Why do they have to be sworn in? Why not just sign a contract? It's not like most of them uphold the oath anyway, at least not on the GOP side. I worked for several companies and never had to be sworn in. I signed a form, and if I didn't do my job right, I'd be fired.
