I can’t stand the continued complaining about DST. I don’t want sunrise at 3:30 am or 9 am - it’s just an hour! This is like pilots who talk about body clock when they fly from ET to MT.

The Twin Cities got about a foot of snow overnight. MetroTransit cancelled bus service this morning and half of businesses are saying they had to close. Such BS.

International JS is always an adventure. 3 years ago trying to connect, CDG won. I watched the nonstop MSP push back. With lessons learned, today I got even. 2:15 is the minimum though.

The WN at MDW go around to avoid the EJR is exactly why there needs to be a minimum of two pilots in every airplane.

It’s 2025. Small restaurants need to start managing Google and Apple for hours and menu’s. The greatest tool as a small business goes to waste as they don’t care info is old and wrong.

I’m pretty afraid of a cruise. It goes against everything I want for a vacation. But this Atlas Ocean Voyages company sends an ad booklet with Europe trips that sound pretty cool. I actually look forward to this showing up in the mail!

Last night we did a turn from LAX. Both legs we had OAL JSers. Both got a seat in the back. First one takes a seat, had to have him come up. The other professionally introduced himself and asked for a ride. What a difference in the two. What a positive impression the second left.

Had an Avelo jumpseater going to LGA today. He is based at HVN. So he takes a bus to a train after LGA. I now appreciate my commute!

Had my last commute home occurred 24 hours later, I would have exited via the slides. It's a reminder of where I should carry my passport. And how each flight isn't as routine as hard working professionals make them seem.

Being on time as the crew I think might be what really gets under my skin. In the last 3-4 years it’s become acceptable for crew to be late. I’m guessing 2025 is the year I leave someone at the hotel.

After our first leg this evening we had a mid 20’s guy stop up asking about routes to take to being a pilot. I gave some questions to ask but told him to do a discovery flight to see if he liked it. He rolled his eyes, told me the flight deck of an A320 is the fun part. If you don’t enjoy the 172…

Our uniform requires a blazer from Nov-April. Several FOs show up with a black jacket and no blazer. Part of me wants to bring attention to this. At the same time it’s just a blazer. I really am torn.
