Scooped up some supplies to elevate the proxy testing. I plan on getting some models 3D printed in the next week or so. Coolest part is I can actually make anything myself, as I have a certificate in 3D modelling/character creation. Excited to go to the next level!

This is also good because it aligns with a typical round of the Pokémon Trading Card Game or One Piece. Not that I have any desire to infringe on that territory. Just as a measuring stick.

UPDATE: My ever-loving partner convinced me to do another test after I amended some changes. The game is feeling very good. I checked how long it would take from the opening die roll to the final card drawn (see photo). Pretty happy with this. 🎲✂️

I think I have the right gameplay mechanics in place for Gears & Glitches, but now it comes down to weighting them. This most recent test made the game feel too long. Some changes and we continue testing. 🎲✂️

P.S. I'll be sure to lower my hand in the next playthrough time-lapse!

Nothing but a pencil and card stock! Rewriting the "Grid" cards for my game. Too many years typing on a keyboard have made my hands weak 😂. 🎲✂️

It's funny... Looking back on my inspirations for Gears & Glitches, sure, I can point to other games. However, I can't deny the impact Junkyard Wars and Battlebots had on it. Does anyone remember those shows? Especially the former? ⚙️🤖⚡️
