Joey (a short-haired white-and-black cat) just looked so handsome on the pretty blanket that I had to snap a picture of him, which turned out more like a portrait (Nov. 2024). 😻 This spot, on the window-height cat tree, is one of Joey’s favorites year round, but particularly on the sunny days (July 2025). 😻 When it gets colder outside, we start to see the cats snuggling together a lot, though Joey snuggles with Bryan (a long-haired orange tabby) no matter what the weather is like. Here, they’d been napping like this for several hours when we woke them up for mealtime (Nov. 2025). 😻 Joey doesn’t get on my lap a lot, but when he does, he snoozes there for a while. Here, he was quite comfy laying on his back in the middle of my outstretched legs on a cool winter day (Feb. 2024). 😻

Fiona loves to sleep on the 2 big cat beds on the end of our bed, and I just love this cute pic with one of her front paws outstretched (March 2025). 😻 Roscoe is one of several cats who absolutely love to lay on a fresh set of towels when I set them on the back of the toilet for my shower later that day. Here, he’s looking so gorgeous against this purple towel set (July 2025). 😻 Theo is often on the move or snoozing under blankets somewhere, so it’s hard to get as many pics of him as I have of some of the other cats. This pic is from his 5th birthday (May 20, 2024), when he was on the move to his next activity. 😻

In Lucy’s first week here, the larger extra bedroom was open and accessible to all the cats during the day, though it was Lucy’s room at night and closed to the others. Mildred (a long-haired dilute calico) loved lounging up there on that bed for a change of pace, like she was doing in this photo (Aug. 2025). 😻 Mildred did not take long after we adopted her to decide she liked sleeping in between our pillows or in between our legs/feet, and she still does that most nights (this pic is from Nov. 2024, but it could’ve just as easily been from last night). 😻 As it’s gotten colder, Mildred has been snuggling up in the more enclosed beds regularly, and here, she was enjoying the most recent one I got for the crew back in the spring (Nov. 2025). 😻 Mildred and Roscoe (a long-haired black cat) have been buddies since shortly after we adopted her in Aug. 2021, and here, they’re just hanging out on one of the large cat beds together (Sept. 2023). 😸

When it’s chilly out, Theo (a short-haired black-and-white cat) knows the best places to snuggle up for warmth, such as in one of the cat beds near the space heater, like he was here in the little unicorn bed (Jan. 2025). 😻 Several of the cats love drinking out of various faucets around the house. I’d say Theo’s favorite is the long-necked faucet at the little wet bar in the basement. He posed for a pic before having a drink on his 6th birthday (May 20, 2025). 😻 Theo has enjoyed snuggling up with Roscoe (a long-haired black cat) since they were kittens, like they were doing here on the bed (Feb. 2025). 😻 Theo also enjoys looking outside with or without his siblings. Here, he was taking a break from doing so, just hanging out next to Joey (a short-haired white-and-black cat) as he was looking outside (Sept. 2025). 😻

When I get fresh towels out and place them on the back of the toilet for my shower that evening, multiple cats enjoy sitting on them, and Fiona (a tortie-point ragdoll mix) is no exception. They’re like little towel warmers, and Fiona often doesn’t even want to get off my towels even after I’m done showering and need them (Nov. 2024)! 😻 Fiona loves to stretch out on the floor and show off her long and floofy body, like she was doing here at the top of the stairs leading upstairs (July 2025). 😻 Fiona often has Phoebe (a long-haired calico) to keep her company, like in this pic of the two of them enjoying the loveseat and ottoman in the living room (Aug. 2024). 😻 When I have to work from the basement (usually it’s on the hottest days, but in this case, it was because we were getting a new roof put on), Fiona often joins me for huge chunks of the day, like she was doing here, as she posed from the back of the couch (Aug. 2025). 😻

Lucy (a short-haired torbie) had already settled in on her perch, so I had to grab the smaller Jack-o-lantern Yeowww! catnip toy for her pic. 🎃 Phoebe (a long-haired calico) was settling in for her nap on a different cat tree, so I used the Yeowww! catnip toy yet again. 👻 Theo (a short-haired white-and-black cat) was a bit annoyed, but he posed for me on the counter. 🎃 Mildred (a long-haired dilute calico) was settling in on the bed for a nap, so I took the Jack-o-lantern to her. On only her 2nd night with us, Lucy (a short-haired torbie, a tabby with calico spots) had a lot of fun walking around the house with me, and here, she discovered fresh towels to relax on in one of our bathrooms, which is a favorite spot for several of our cats (Aug. 2025). 😻 We regularly find Lucy laying on her back sleeping or just taking a breather from bouts of zoomies and playing with her favorite spring toys. Here, she was getting a tan while doing so (Sept. 2025). 😻 Lucy loves perching atop the various tall cat trees we have, and she stays in those top-level spots for hours on end (Oct. 2025). 😻 While there are still some disagreements among a few of our cats and Lucy, she has become fast friends with Phoebe and Joey. She was having a little girl time here with Phoebe (a long-haired calico) in the sunshine on yet another nice Sept. 2025 day. 😻

19 years ago today, we adopted beautiful, sweet, cuddly Bryan at just 7.5 months old. Bryan is such a great cat & we’re so happy we’ve had all this time with him (he is our oldest cat ever & will soon become the cat we’ve had longest). Bryan (a long-haired orange tabby) has been an excellent snuggle partner his whole life. While he doesn’t always look right at the camera when I snap a pic, I just love his expression here, as he was relaxing next to me on the bed (Dec. 2024). 😻 I was attempting to take a pic of Bryan as he looked cute just lounging on the kitchen floor, but he decided to get up as I snapped the pic - he’s still adorable either way (July 2025). 😻 I regularly enjoy Bryan’s company as I’m sitting on the 4-season-room couch. He spends long periods of time happily snoozing or just chilling next to me, like he was doing here (Jan. 2025). 😻 I was trying to take a pic before Bryan got up to take a walk or get a snack, but he was already on the move by the time I took it - still cute, though (April 2025). 😻

Though it was raining here all day today, it was sunny and gorgeous about a year ago, on Phoebe and Joey’s 3rd birthday, and Phoebe (a long-haired calico) enjoyed that sun in this cat tree by the window (Oct. 19, 2024). 😻 In the cooler months, we regularly see kitties snuggling together. One of Phoebe’s favorite snuggle pals is her brother Joey (white-and-black short-haired cat) and she was very comfy here with him (and Theo, another white-and-black short-haired cat, nearby) in this pic on the bed (Jan. 2025). 😻 We often find Phoebe sitting like this, which we call “sitting like a person” (sitting on her butt with her tail between her legs and her front legs up), and pics of this never disappoint (Dec. 2024)! 😻😹 Phoebe loves the top level of the townhouse scratcher/cat house, and this pic of her on top and Fiona (a tortie-point ragdoll mix) on bottom is just too cute (July 2025)! 😻

Joey (a white-and-black short-haired cat) looking super cute on a pillow on the basement loveseat (Oct. 2024). 😻 Joey loves a cozy spot to snuggle and he was happy to get this cute unicorn bed as a gift for his (and Phoebe’s) 2nd birthday, and this pic was taken just a couple days after that date in Oct. 2023, though he still frequently sleeps in this bed (he did so yesterday for a long time). 😻🦄 When we were on vacation, our sitters from 4-Legged Kids took a bunch of pics of our cats for their twice daily update messages to us. Joey was in a lot of these pics because he was one of the more outgoing cats with the sitters this time - he even played with them, as he was doing here in this cute pic through the spindles of the bannister (June 2025). 😻 We have so many sweet pics like this of Joey and Bryan (a long-haired orange tabby) snuggling and snoozing together. This is a pic from June 2025, but it could just as easily have been from today. 😻

Here, Theo is doing neighborhood watch with Roscoe (black long-haired cat) and Fiona (a tortie-point ragdoll mix) in the bay window. 😻 Right before their 6th birthday, I used my Chewy birthday coupon for Roscoe and Theo to buy this cute bed. Theo tried it out quickly and gave his stamp of approval (May 2025). 😻 Theo and Phoebe (a long-haired calico) were completely out in deep sleep on the small cat tree when Brent snapped this cute pic. 😻 Phoebe is often Theo’s gal pal.

Throwback to Feb. 2020 when Roscoe (a long-haired black cat) was still a kitten, chilling on our bathroom floor and showing off his one white whisker (that fell out a few months later and he’s only had black whiskers since). 😻 Roscoe, like most cats, loves a good box, and he was certainly enjoying this one while on top of the pool table (June 2023). 😻 Roscoe enjoys spending time with his brothers, like he was doing here on the couch with his oldest brother, Bryan (a long-haired orange tabby - Feb. 2025). 😻 While Phoebe (a long-haired calico) loves all the other cats, Roscoe doesn’t always enjoy when Phoebe gets super close to him. He made an exception here for quite a while as they watched some very interesting birds and squirrels out the window (Aug. 2025). 😻
