Trying to frame the entirety of china as a settler colonly falls on deaf years in most of china. Outside of xinjang there is no effort to replace the people in question. The people themelsves dont see it that way. There is no serious seperatist movement outside of East turkistan in china.

It was Stalin's Intel which suggested to him that there was interest from Britain to fund separatist groups there. Horrible of course and shows he didn't care to make the Turks there in the region an authentic part of the state but only trusted the han to subdue them. Most of this history is open.
