I live in Ann Arbor and don’t post much, but when I do it’s usually about the Green Bay Packers or Michigan State Spartans.
Not the author of The Francis Effect - that’s a different John Gehring
Go Century Schoolbook or go broke.

At least three separate uncalled bear hugs by the RT, including most prominently on back to back plays on the last drive.

I’m watching the condensed replay and Gary draws the only holding on Chicago the first drive on the RT who did the same thing to Parsons almost every rep with no flag.

Just blatant two plays in a row.

Lack on gang tackling allowed that 2pt conversion.

In other words:
Wyle has blown by his man,
All alone he would stand.
You know Love's pass would have been perfect.
It would have been a TD.
That's my comment on RAE.

He’s 100% throwing a backfoot touchdown to a returning Reed this week.

Big opportunity for Arkansas coming up with Louisville coming to town.

I insist my mom make one whenever we are visiting during the local strawberry season. Absolute favorite.

Hell yeah

Hopefully they stay aggressive. Touchdown seals it.

I don't think not liking something I do is indicative of not experiencing it properly. I have no objection to you or anyone not caring for pie. It was your stated reasoning - lack of textural contrast - that struck me as indicative of not having experienced good pie. At any rate, Go Pack Go!

I’m not trying to be insulting here. I’m just honestly befuddled by your viewpoint. I’ve been eating fantastic pies for over 40 years whether made by my mom, my dad, myself, or my wife and I just can’t wrap my head around it.
November 26, 2025 at 1:38 AM
Help me understand how in your view a pie with a good crust lacks textural contrast? That’s a pretty wild thing to say in my view!
November 26, 2025 at 1:35 AM
And I should say good fruit pie fillings will have subtle an pleasing textural contrasts. Things like key lime or lemon meringue are of course striving for uniformity of filling.
November 26, 2025 at 1:16 AM
And that’s to say nothing of crumble and other toppings that give wonderful textural and flavor contrasts. I mean, there’s plenty of bad cake out there that is just undifferentiated mush. We all just gotta have the good stuff!
November 26, 2025 at 1:14 AM
That isn’t so! The crust, even if there is no top crust, is crispy and flaky and layered and the perfect contrast to the filling. If you’re eating good pie, the bottom crust is still crispy. And a good pie filling always has subtle textural contrasts and depth of flavor. You’re eating bad pie!

Any good pie has varied texture and flavor. It’s hard for me
To conceptualize what you’re even arguing.

Detroit is #2. You missed OKC way above everyone.
