Have a WIP snippet because I am sad and my witches are nice to hang out with.

Calpurnia, witch, travels with her sisters and her familiar Fiera the raven to find Haggis for help. She needs a competition level familiar and Fiera reveals quickly why she's out of the running.
He inspects the bird, growing more inquisitive and appreciative of the creature as he does. The sisters seem a little embarassed. CalPURNIA sheepish I'm sorry. My great-great-grandmother Yorena Greengrun sent me. I am looking for a familiar to show. HaGGIS But you have one right there! Fiera No shit! Haggis stares for a moment at the raven as the sisters seem torn between laughs and groans. He breaks into a broad, gap toothed smile. Haggis Oh the judges would not love that. delight rings in his creaky voice Come, come.

Today a sweet soul was lost.

Blossom gave the world 14 lovely puppies across two litters. The cream boy on the left below is Balfour Falkor.

From birth he was calm, gentle, inquisitive and oh my goodness sweet. Just SO sweet.

His life was not destined to be easy though.

Which is better for my presentation to the Honors Committee?

The skirts will be ironed, have tights to wear with either but my footwear is sadly always grey sneakers. I value my ability to walk more than I value fashion though I think my little grey New Balances are rather cute.

I am leaning pink
Two different outfits are shown laid out on a surface. The one on the left is a cream colored waffle weave top with three tortoise shell colored buttons matched with a dusty rose skirt patterned with different spell and potion making accoutrements in a nifty style. They stay to a very pleasant muted palette. The outfit on the right is a sky blue waffle weave top with three tortoise shell type buttons and a darker blue skirt with adorable woodland creatures and plants in a similarly charming style. Each skirt is rather playful but not so noisy they're distracting.

He was born for war and battle, this great bear of a man whose voice I can easily imagine echoing across a battlefield. He had a secret though, a secret his son and I saw with our own eyes. We knew why he left that life.

This is what my senior dog looked like when she was a baby.

Another snippet from my Honors Project story

Eleri speaks about being marked a slave and what she asked in return. A slave who made demands, how curious.

There is much editing to be done please be gentle.
Most slaves wore a plaque, or they were branded. I wore a bracelet high on my forearm. It is the shape of a snape, made of beaten gold with glimmering glass eyes a darker green than my own. He said I earned it with my behavior, but that chide was delivered on a laugh. There were words I cannot read on the inside edge. He said they just declared me his and not to worry about them. I told him I would wear no such mark if he did not wear one in return. He laughed, heartily. I remember that I waited out the laughter until he realized I was serious. When he silenced I took the twisted band of metal my father had made me long ago from my bicep. I put it on his wrist. He paled as he looked at it. Something in him shifted but what it was I couldn't place. He touched the metal and considered it for a long time, then nodded to me and left me there alone. He has never taken it off and we have never spoken of it again.

His smile softened as he looked down at her, and, with the shyness of a boy faced with his first love, he pressed a light kiss to her lips. It was brief, a query as much as a statement. When he found himself answered with a smile his heart surged and he bent to kiss her again, far more thoroughly before he swept her into his arms. "Come my life, let's eat before this gets cold."

Sabina and Aleida. You can't see Aleida's *incredible* hair very well here but there they are. Sabina is a little drop of pure radiance. Aleida is a towering can of paladin rage.

Meet Shelby Cole! Ranger, socially inept, incredibly loyal to those she lets close and either seen in the company of a wallow, a bristleback or a salad. She frequently dresses like she walked through a clothes line wearing velcro. Her hair was cut with a sword or a steak knife.

It is National Cat Day. Loki departed to return to his place in the hells a few years ago but lives on in our hearts, maintaining a mild sense of fear at all hours.

Jokes aside, he was a Good Cat.
