I live less than a hour and a half from the cities, and know many people who live there, including family. It's so scary how close it is, and it's only getting worse. 😔

Same! I have to make sure I don't get stuck in a rabbit hole of researching for my first prompt.

It was deleted pretty quickly cause it is just a scam. FF dot net is inundated with them, by comments and inbox spam. 😮💨

Even if they seem open ended, you can leave them like that with an "open-ended ending" tag. Then say, "Might add more, but this is where it ends for now!"

That way, I give myself an out, as well. The readers (if there are any) know the story ends there, but if they get more, they'll be happy. If not, they can enjoy that snippet of the characters' lives.

Sometimes, I might go back and add more, but I make not they are for the challenge and this is it for the story currently.

- By reducing how much time spent I have on them.

Also, sometimes, when I see a fic that is long form that is M or less in ratings, I get disappointed. There are some fics that I wanna read, but my depraved mind gets disappointed before I can give it a chance. Which is a me issue, not the story/author.
