. @reclaimtherecords.org The VA appears to be busy. Yesterday, 12 acknowledgment letters, 3 that say nothing was found, 1 that they forgot to include a letter in. What are the best recommendations for handling "nothing found" letters?

Hmm @reclaimtherecords.org #BIRLS "Due to current volume...". Sounds made-up. I received 2 disks for records I requested LAST. No acknowledgment even on my grandfather, whose I did first b/c occasionally my grandmother needs something from his stuff

My cousin Jack's Defense Superior Service Medal citation. He ended his career as US Naval attaché in Canada. He was injured in a skiing accident, but apparently that didn't stop him. 😆 He also received 3 Air Medals in Vietnam.

I'm doing some free #BIRLS – Veterans Affairs record requests for #genealogy (and my grandmother) – thanks to the easy-to-use BIRLS.org site by @reclaimtherecords.org, which even does the faxing for you. Huge improvement over slow free fax site use. My sympathies to the worker handling my requests.
