It sucks to walk away from people you thought you knew well, but they were never your friends if they don't respect you and your struggles. If they actively stand against you and contribute to your struggles then they are clearly the enemy. Treat them accordingly.

They don't care for you, they care for how you make them feel, which is cool, included, even necessary. You are their entertainment, not their friend. Let them feel the weight of your absence, let them suffer in the lonely existence that their hatred generates.
