📢 ¿Escuchan los políticos menos las demandas de las mujeres que las de las hombres?

🏛️ Por desgracia, sí. Cuanto mayores sean las discrepancias entre mujeres y hombres, menor atención prestan los políticos a las mujeres.

Might I politely say that this would be a good moment for anyone who runs a big social or election study to give some serious thought to including a battery of Qs on attitudes to feminism/gender roles? We have some great questions on sexism/household gender roles but need more imho (unsurprisingly!)

Is there a gender age gap in support for the far-right? 🚻 🗳️

Not as much as we thought!

@gefjonoff.bsky.social & colleagues use cross-national data to show that the far-right gender gap is non-existent among some age cohorts

New paper!

Do the (British) public believe there’s a trade-off btwn economic growth and protecting the environment? Does this belief matter for which they prioritise?

Not strongly, and no.

Environmental protection remains a priority even with costs to growth

New Working Paper: Teenage boys and girls in Norway are more ideologically polarized than ever. Using data for 130,000 high-schoolers over 34 years, I find that a surge in anti-feminism among boys is driving much of the recent trend.📈
