Hiding here from the rise of fascism.
Not just the country. ATL is the busiest airport in the world.

Yes.

That’s not a joke answer. Genuinely that is part of what NEEDS to happen in order to save ourselves.

The longer we go all collectively participating in a system that is steadily being reshaped to turn us into slaves, the harder it will be to break our chains.

I just want a good place to talk about video games and TV and look at webcomics and memes.

Why are all of the online spaces that I used for that turning into hotspots for fascism?

The thing about it is that humanity destroys itself all the time.

Over 7 million people died of Covid in the last 5 years.

Hundreds of thousands have died in the wars in Gaza and Ukraine.

For all of those people it WAS the end of the world. It just hasn’t been the end of OUR world yet.

Sorry, I misquoted him. I rewatched part of the interview the quote came from and he claims Elon’s maternal grandparents as being Nazis.

Not that it makes that much difference in my book. 2 Nazi grandparents vs 4? Still going to hear a lot of Nazi rhetoric as a kid.

Unfortunately, guys like that don’t want a good life. They want everyone else to have a bad life.

According to Errol Musk, Elon’s father, Elon had grandparents on both sides who were supporters of the Nazi party, and his mother’s parents moved to South Africa, where Elon grew up, because they supported Apartheid.

THAT is all the context you need.

Nazism was instilled in him from a young age.

My gf, who is not as into sci-fi stuff as I am, hadn’t seen it and was like “okay… so WHAT is it about exactly? It sounds weird.”

And then we finished the first episode and she went, “okay, I see why everybody was so excited about season 2.”

I was just thinking that the other day. Like, I can understand the people who think “cops help their communities.” I know they’re wrong, but I can understand them.

But ICE? What, did they all think about being cops but decide that it wouldn’t let them hurt vulnerable communities enough?

No fishing in Tetris.

Eh, I’m pretty confident that he probably knows the names of MANY prominent Nazis.
