The first book in the series is like that too.
Second is more military sci-fi, and 3rd is criminal conspiracy sci-fi.
His other series "Blackman/Thirteen" and "Into Thin Air" are back to his sci-fi who-dunnit.

The problem with the DVD releases is they are all missing the Muppet Babies section as well as a couple of songs.
I guess the IP rights around this are a complete nightmare, they make getting the original music in Scrubs and Malcolm in the Middle for streaming seem like easy street.

It is definitely a stand in for “black humor” like Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy, who were introducing that genre to white America in the 80s.

There have been multiple Black Mirror episodes on why this is a bad idea, I think they just use it over and over because everyone knows it's a terrible idea (well everyone except this team, that apparently binged Black Mirror and said "you know what we should do?")

That seems to be what Reddit has found, but I don't have first hand experience. For the most part, higher end brands seem to be quieter, probably better steel or something, but that isn't always the case.

Cast Iron is supposed to be silent, and heavier carbon steel is usually very quiet according to reddit.
