I did not plan this double feature for tonight but watching them back to back was such a sharp contrast. Even in spite of TMWTEM's problems, its take on "nearly human monster" is far stronger and much more engaging

It's a very good opening in general. It's not even in my nostalgia zone at all (at most my nostalgia for these guys is specifically the two Halloween movies that played on Cartoon Network), but everything about it is so infectious. I love it a bunch
