Even live action has this problem a lot of the time, look at the Game of Thrones boob phenomenon. Fantasy world full of different body types and yet somehow every woman who’s ever shown topless has the exact same perky larger-end-of C-cups because focus testing said that’s what got dudes staring.

Yeah I feel like there's definitely something to that. That and using a lack of color as the color of the year also feels like, weirdly brutalist? They could have picked literally anything else and instead they went "let's do the absence of color" which spins out into "lack of emotion/expression"
