I have not taken even 1/2 my earned vacation from work the last few years, and my brain can tell. So, this wknd am making plans, booking flights, arranging accommodation. Probably going to spend too much, but will fulfill some dreams that me and the kids have. Building something to look forward to.

I am not an expert in any kind of sport really, but team selection/development was something I have been thinking about a bit since the World Series with Toronto's success during play but also with signings in the post-season.

I'm not a hockey expert and am not overly familiar with the players but did read an article today arguing the Canadian juniors team lost the chance at a gold bec selection is too focused on individual skills, flash, etc rather than teamwork and ability to read plays. Interesting tension in ideas.

The hallway scene in Inception is AMAZING. I haven't seen Tenet yet but if that has something in the ballpark of Inception that would be very persuasive.

The local dance studio puts The Nutcracker on every few years, and last night was the night. We saw the little children of friends dance and they were so expressive and filled with obvious joy and pride.

Oooh, I had these on a trip to Seattle once and I still think fondly of that meal.
