People are already giving you a lot of the great PS3 games like Infamous, Killzone, God of War and the PS3 Ratchet and Clank games which are all good picks.
My top two games still lock in PS3 jail is Disgaea D2 and 3D Dot Game Heroes.

Command & Conquer Generals and the Zero Hour expansion.
The campaigns for each of the 3 factions gives you a good primer o how the game plays as well as a faction's tech tree and units. Graphics look dated and it's steeped in early 2000's 'War on Terror' aesthetics and nationalist jingoism.

It's a rudimentary RTS with 5 man squad based skirmish combat. Use to play this and Gun Star Heroes all the time back on the Genesis.

Phantasy Star Online 1 & 2
Product Number 3
Phantasy Star Online is not unique to the GameCube but it's a great all the same. Product Number 3 a GameCube exclusive and is worth checking out.

Lunar Dragon Song on the Nintendo DS is unenjoyable, tedious and frustrating. It is the worst RPG I've ever played from a professional studio.

Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled.
A game on the Nintendo DS from a small studio. The studio folded but the team went on to make the video game Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark.
Black Sigill has middling reviews but I enjoy it. I'm a sucker for RPGs with sprite graphics and Chono Trigger like combat.

Suikoden has had fast travel since the first game and from the same character in all of them.

Six summoning circles however you're going to have to find away to incorporate the failed Mobile game Breath of Fire 6 into the ritual.
The best you can hope for do with 5 physical copies a Capcom collection of the series. (Still worth the effort)

Sucks that it's more or less locked away on the PS3. I love the graphics and the'Mounting' mechanic that let's you ride monster allies. More then anything Laharl, Etna and Flonne are the Disgaea crew that made me fall in love with the series back on the PS2.
