What good albums have terrible cover art? You don't get to blame the era either. An easy vote is Uh-huh from Mellencamp. Not his best album but very good, but you would get that vibe from the horrid cover. Hag Seed for Thirty Ought Six (terrible band name too) also comes to mind.

Good morning @mirrorindy.org @indianacapitalchronicle.com Long time, first time. Have you thought about covering the possible impacts of a Nexstar/TEGNA merger on Indy media vis-à-vis the whole Jimmy Kimmel fiasco? I've included my words on it here, but it should come from better minds than mine.

Text describing the implications of Nexstar successfully merging with Tegna in the Indianapolis market. Nexstar already owns the WTTV CBS and Fox 59 affiliates in market, and would then own the WTHR NBC affiliate if the merger were successful, strangling the autonomy of the local news outfits and controlling the editorial oversight of 75% of the market.

Disney should do what's best: pull everything. No MNF, no college football, no Dancing with the Stars, nothing. Sinclair's ABC affiliate deal is up within a year anyway, they're awful, now's a good time to shop for alternatives & see how Sinclair feels about it.

As a more than casual Mariners fan, I've been conditioned that it's going to fall apart in the post season. However, hot damn Cal. Great job J.P. I see you Julio. Can't spell Bryan Woo without the letter K (it's silent & invisible). It's been a fun regular season & hope they stay finishing strong.

I want to use Pablo Torre as an example of how skepticism is askew in this nation. A true journalist who is SHOWING HIS WORK, and yet people in his profession who should accept that paper trail won't either out of a) jealousy or bias, b) fear, or c) fealty. It speaks to America's climate as a whole.

It's not a perfect show by any means. It's raw, it's 1991-94 Fox so it's low budget, but the acting is solid, it IS a sitcom by default, but the acting chops are top notch by the regular cast, the serious story notes are as real now as they were then, and it sets the table for where TV can & will go

Very good writing, seasons long story arcs, hardships, rivalries, changes within characters and the neighborhood that have consequences that carry throughout episodes. There are stakes, despite being "presented" as a sitcom. The Andre Thompson story alone is magnificent.

The first modern prestige show wasn't born on HBO, wasn't forged by David Milch, wasn't a cop show, etc.

It was Roc in the raw days of Fox, and it's a shame Charles Dutton and that ensemble cast doesn't get its flowers.

Day 3 of #gencon2025 was much like the other two, but my review began taking shape. And I remembered how appreciative I am of the people who come to my state for this event, and the publishers, designers, artists, and creators who pour themselves into this.
