I know a few things.
In reality, 🤷‍♂️ anything in its essence/entirety.
When confronted, I’ll admit it. Some knew me as Dante’s 🇺🇸 Inferno on Twitter.

There’s another dumb movie with the same title in 2018!

Make sure you rent the 2014 one. It has Roger’s face on the cover

A moving, funny, raucous, wide-ranging look at the man who founded this site.

Beautiful elegy and tribute to him.

Highly recommend

Have you seen the documentary about him, “Life Itself”?

Again my bias 😂

There’s also something to be said about a Midwest sensibility with the cosmopolitanness of Chicago.

He was a deep thinker, as his wife said and I always appreciated how his sobriety and recovery (12 steps ) shaped who he was .

Anyway, he was a cool cat
December 7, 2025 at 11:28 PM
That would’ve been cool.

I also liked Roeper and Siskel, although less so.

Biased being a Chicagoan-Chicagolander.

Also my mom had a regular subscription to the Tribune

I just loved Ebert and then Chaz , his wife , took over the site and those were the ppl that Ebert picked when he knew his death was imminent, or so I was told
December 7, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Those two guys do the bulk of reviews on his site
December 7, 2025 at 11:11 PM
Sorry Abrams. I like Tallerico too 😂

Both handpicked by the late great…
December 7, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Well I will watch the 2nd when it’s streaming. But I like Tallerico and trust Ebert’s protégés .
December 7, 2025 at 11:09 PM
It s/b noted that the original got poor reviews on ebert.com and even Tallerico said the original was bad

It’s unusual for a sequel to be better than the original, but it happens.

If you learn from your mistakes the first go round.
