If we want to have civilized conversations, then we need portray facts accurately. There are a number of things wrong with the Wpg Sun article today re: the Pandemic. The worst one is using conclusions and stats from a clearly withdrawn article. Do better @winnipegsun.bsky.social.

I made a grave error and bought a ‘3D puzzle’ rated 4+ for the kids. This horrific creation is impossible. Each piece changes. Whole thing makes me dizzy but we are committed at this point.

I enjoy finding these relatively old literature comments.

Yes, we get a lot of “is this a meteorite?” inquiries at the survey.

Most often, the rocks are obviously not meteorites.

However today someone strolled in with this material. This is by far the densest material that I have ever held. It puts a typical VMS Ni-Cu ore to shame.

Anyone?

There was also the large (1 m) holes where trees have completely burned downwards. Not to mention the hollowed out trees. Wildfires are something else.

The relentless 2025 fire season continues to put northern Manitoba communities under siege. Flin Flon, Lynn Lake and Island Lake earlier this summer. Snow Lake and Leaf Rapids right now.

It’s terrifying to think how bad this is going to get in a warming world. The Boreal is already feeling it.

I’ve been keeping an eye on the fire near the Ruttan Mine since we were supposed to be heading there next week. It’s grown considerably over the past week. This whole area has been detectable within the last 24hrs.

The fire situation in northwest Manitoba is nuts. Hard to comprehend the scale of these blazes. Every red dot is an active fire within the last 1-3 hrs.

Only going to get worse with a balmy 28C and gusts up to 40 km/h tomorrow with more lightning to follow.

Lynn Lake, Leaf Rapids evacuated.

Alright. Need to start posting on this platform.

Here is a lovely Omar erratic from the HBL.

These Utah Mammoth jerseys are pretty awesome.

I think I may need to run our beer league team so I can make some executive decisions moving forward.
