Flux grown artificial emeralds have a ton of inclusions as do flux grown artificial rubies and sapphires. A great many of my Congolese and Tanzanian friends would take great exception to your characterising them as slaves.

Flame fusion Synthetic/Artificial gems such as ruby have existed for more than a 130 years. Flux processes (e.g. Emerald) for close on a century . It's gem quality artificial (lab grown) diamonds that are relatively new. All artificial gems are Geologically TOTALLY different to 'lab grown'.

Very pretty. :-). I'm curious to know how you have determined that this is indeed Alexandrite and not synthetic alex or synthetic cc sapphire? 🙂
