Reading the fantastic “Delta Blues” by @tedgioia.bsky.social. The efforts made through (among others) the Library of Congress to find and preserve so much amazing music are inspiring. Would such a devotion of public monies for cultural and not fiscal gain be possible today? Not under DJT, certainly.

I’m sitting in a favourite spot, drinking a good cup of coffee, reading a fun book (volume 3 of Jason Pargin’s nutso Zoey Ashe series), and stroking the white fur of my beautiful purring cat. It’s almost enough to make me forget that we live in a hellscape.
