We suggested this yesterday - the agent should be remanded for processing in the district where the homicide occurred. Perhaps you should sponsor a bill to require that action.

This article electoral-vote.com/evp2026/Items/Jan05-1.html lists a number of concerning issues facing US democracy. As a diverse family, we avoid pure partisanship, and many items on the list are not in agreement with some of us as individuals. The point - most of them are reversible by Congress.
