another disappointing year attempting to be a farmer. most things that did well were whisked away by deer, bears, and chipmunks. others i simply forgot about about, because it turns out i don't eat a lot of carrots! i only got two strawberries and they rotted before i ate either one lol.

A new hydrangea in its place: Little Lime Punch. It will grow to about 5 feet tall and I intend to create a hedge of them across the whole side of the patio via propagation

@[email protected] I'm excited to smell!! I actually have a few shasta viburnum already, but they're nothing like this. They go purple for autumn and are very nice in their own way!

A european snowball viburnum in spring: big, bushy, with bright green foliage, and HUGE white blooms that look like incrediball hydrangea blooms. Evidently they bloom from April through May, long before actual hydrangeas have begun

Garden center clearance shopping today. In addition to picking up some new varieties of hydrangeas, as if I need more, I grabbed this European Snowball Viburnum for like $10. Look at this red! I AM IN LOVE 😍
