Mostly Harmless.
I don't think he's nuts. I think he wants to move the media cycle away from him and his associates protecting pedophiles and if he has to destabilize a continent to do it, oh well. That's why Twitter is open in the situation room. What people are talking about is the most important part.

Dude is saying all the quiet parts out loud. We just overthrew a sovereign government so Chevron can have better quarterly earnings.

Most of what the first Trump admin did was just incompetent time wasting. This go-around the people who are whispering in his ears after sundown are some of the more vile people available. This is some end-of-rome type stuff here.

transparency is when you make up things that make you feel good and everyone believes them.

These threads are so stupid. This is the same smooth brain magical thinking from the stupidest part of MAGA. The truth is unpleasant but it is the truth. We collectively elected just about the worst possible person we could. Sometimes the answer is just that people occasionally make bad decisions.

Imagine if there was a Soros-owned company that manufactured *LITERAL BRAIN MICROCHIPS*. The right wing talking head estate would spontaneously combust.

Next thing you know they'll be making movies with talking in them

To be fair to stinkbugs, they spend most of their time not stinking.

Buttigieg and Harris won't do anything other than change the air freshener to something nicer while the car careens off the cliff. We need someone who can turn the f*ing wheel.
January 2, 2026 at 2:43 AM
No. The world has almost no energy storage in relation to the power and energy required. Massive, moon launch style investment in storage is required, or an enormous breakthrough in battery tech.

It's hilarious the level of sweaty tryhard propagandizing targeting this guy. It's a sure sign that he's doing something right.
January 1, 2026 at 6:37 PM
They are not. One is a prerequisite for the other. There is a maximum amount of non-dispatchable generation that the grid can handle without enormous increases in storage or much improved transmission. The grid is *zero sum*. Exactly as much energy must be produced as is consumed in a given moment.
January 1, 2026 at 6:33 PM
This is by far the dumbest fox news style brainrot point. The correct answer to this is to say 'OK, but they do the policies, right?' I'm not voting for politicians for the fashion sense of their family.

I think the mistake was trusting the human
January 1, 2026 at 3:46 PM
Don't get me wrong, this is a good thing, but it's not a sign of a sustainable zero carbon grid. High renewable output is relatively easy and cheap. *Reliable* renewable output is hard and expensive. We don't need more renewable generation, we need more storage and transmission first.

Steve Bannon, perhaps the world's leading expert on thinking he's Irish because 23 and me found a guy who smelled Irish soap one time. This is a very competitive scene in the US, he should be very proud.
