My wife and I were fortunate enough to discover @bloomsdoodles.bsky.social and buy some art from him. It’s an incredible piece and we know more of Bloom’s art is in our future. So awesome to see his illustrations in games, too. 😊

I recently finished the video game Cloudpunk by Ion Lands on PC. It’s a fun, thoughtful cyberpunk tale of a delivery driver’s first night in Nivalis, a failing & collapsing city that spares no one.

I loved moving through the neon city in my flying car, making deliveries and questionable decisions!

This morning I finished Neva from @nomada.studio. This was an incredible lite puzzle platformer with superb art and sound. The perfect balance of beauty, weird, and creepiness. It’s a story of perseverance and growth and the need to carry on the good fight, because life continues. #gaming #pcgaming

Just finished Cocoon by @geometricinteractive.com. Short but outstanding puzzler with intriguing boss fights and awesome atmospherics. Levels look great, sound and music are fantastic, and it was challenging but not frustrating. Solid choice for fans of Limbo and Inside. #gaming #pcgaming

The sci-fi white book “The Stars Are Fire” offers guidance that can be used to craft a Star Trek–style campaign. For me Star Trek was always about exploration, discovery, adventure, and social commentary, and the flexibility of Cypher easily lends itself to these themes. Perhaps this book can help!

Last week some #cyphersystem and #numenera #ttrpg goodness arrived from @montecookgames.com!

Gunslinger Knights looks awesome. I can’t wait to play it with some buddies.

And these Numenera books are just incredible. My 1-on-1 campaign is on hiatus, but I have so many ideas where to take it next!

Last night my wife and I kicked off some co-op #ironsworn #ttrpg! We created our characters and defined a harrowing world to play in.

Our story began when we found an injured child. We decided to patch him up and bring him home safely. I’m sure complications will arise from our good intentions!

I’m getting ready to run an online #starforged campaign for some friends that are new to the game. But that doesn’t mean I can’t also gear up for some co-op #ironsworn here at home!

These helpful decks arrived today and I couldn’t be happier.

Today my wife was burning an original Sweet Fig Farmhouse candle from @cantripcandles.bsky.social. We burned it sparingly when the scent was discontinued, but now that it’s back, we’re enjoying it more regularly.

Today we saw proof of what we already knew: this candle is a natural 20!

Just finished Tales of Kenzera: ZAU by @surgentstudios.bsky.social. It’s a fast action platformer that deals with loss, grief, acceptance, legacy, and strength. And the game is filled with gorgeous visuals, amazing music, and wonderful voice work. I had a great time! #gaming #pcgaming

About to jump into some co-op #ironsworn #starforged #ttrpg! Excited to shake off the rust, teach the game to someone new, and tell an offbeat story about a couple of cynical spacers cobbling a life together amid the cold severity of an unfeeling universe!

Just finished Deliver Us The Moon by @keokeninteractive.bsky.social. A dramatic and lonely adventure game with themes of determination, altruism, and the confused ways we try to do what’s right. It was a wonderful experience and I’ll definitely be playing everything that comes after. 🌔

Just finished Road 96 by Digixart. It’s a compelling game about authoritarianism, disillusionment, resistance, desperation, and revolution, told through the eyes of marginalized youth fleeing for their lives. The game’s intertwined perspectives paint a harrowing portrait of a world we must change.

Just finished South of Midnight by @compulsiongames.bsky.social. I had a fantastic time playing through Hazel’s arc. Brilliant art and sound, great story, awesome lore. And lots of fun touches in a world that’s always a layer or two deeper than you expect. Highly recommend it!

Gearing up for another #numenera #ttrpg session this weekend! This could carry us through the end of the Vortex adventure. Excited to see how (whether?) we’re able to help Aerridomos and return back to the Vortex temple!

If you’re signed up for their backerkit emails on the next campaign, they’re beginning to shed light on the details. The comms push is just beginning, though, so more to come. Including blog posts on their site. Here’s the summary from today’s email (lots more detail in the email itself).

Three books purchased from Gabi’s Olympic Cards & Comics, arranged on a tabletop. The first is Priests of the Aeons, a supplement for the Numenera TTRPG from Monte Cook Games. The second is the Black Widow (2014) collection, which has incredible covers and interiors by Phil Noto. And the last is Little Bird, an acclaimed sci-fi comic by Darcy Van Poelgeest with art by Ian Bertram and Matt Hollingsworth. Looking forward to diving in!

A while back I placed an order with @montecookgames.com for some #numenera and #cyphersystem #ttrpg books. I added this note:

“(gollum voice) I wants, NEEDS more bookses!!”

Later, when my order arrived, this was on the shipping box. I just love the crew over at MCG! 🥰

Just finished another amazing #numenera #ttrpg session with a buddy of mine.

He’s a Mystical, Perceptive Glaive who Fuses Flesh and Steel.

I’m supporting with a DMPC named Shane, an Impulsive Thaemic Jack who Lives on the Road.

There have been hijinks. Next session we leap through a wormhole. 🫨
