Next Monday, 1st December is the 70th anniversary of Rosa Parks arrest on the Montgomery Bus Boycott & which kicked off the US Civil Rights movement. This isn't a criticism but it's not the talkin' but the doin' that does it! Please keep me posted.

I think any campaign would have to be laser focused on the institution, demanding a new anti-sectarian, secular democratic settlement.

But who'd be interested in having such discussions to see if a campaign had potential legs?

The latter could be used to build a consensus for change. The unity of 'catholic, protestant & dissenter' calls for action, not acquiescence. Ask - what would the men and women of 1798 be doing now?

Oh Claire, I absolutely did! It's a book bursting with hope and ideas to build on the legacy of 1798. It was so refreshing. Maurice McCartney identifies one of the main blockages and you've spotted a mechanism for change. Hope for the future!
