Louth has the biggest field of candidates - 25, the biggest in the State's history – followed by Cork South-Central (Micheál Martin's turf) on 22, then Cavan-Monaghan and Cork North-Central on 21.

The new three-seat Wicklow-Wexford constituency has the fewest candidates signed up, with 10.

The returning officers' published lists include 682 candidacies for #ge24, a record.

6 of those are John/Seán O'Leary, who is running in six different constituencies, so 677 unique candidates.

Aside from him, the only nationwide namesakes are the two Eoins Ó Broin, both in Dublin Mid-West.
