A rose by any other name... this one looks like it would smell quite sweet! I took this at a rose show a while back.

It won't be long and it will be time for little ones...this wild turkey hen was walking along a rural road with her chicks last spring.

I found this beautiful guy not too far from home, and he had just been picking at some roadkill near this plowed field.

This gaggle of geese stopped by to say "Happy Easter!"
For those that don't celebrate - "Happy Sunday!".

We have a few local marshes that harbor a great number of warm weather birds like this Great Egret I was able to catch last year.

If you've never been to Yellowstone National Park, it really is something for your bucket list, truly a photographer's dream. Here is a picture of the Old Faithful geyser at Yellowstone from a few years back.

These two wild turkeys were in our yard on a beautiful autumn day last year. We frequently see turkeys in the area throughout the year.

We've had a small fox with mange that has emerged from the woods this spring that has been trotting through our yard. Today we had a drama unfold as a protective doe considered the fox a bit of a threat to her yearling and decided to get pretty aggressive.

White-tail deer in ripened wheat field from last summer. They always act like I shouldn't be able to see them...

I don't know why this is so fascinating, but it is (shoes hanging in trees)! Does anyone know what type of tradition this is? Found these in a nearby tree.

What a catch! Our daughter took us on a hike in the Mt. Rainier area a few years back and I was able to catch this lenticular cloud formation when we were returning from our hike.

Wild turkey are pretty abundant in our area (but have been scarce this winter). I happened to run into this hen and chicks walking along the road last spring.

We don't get a lot of severe thunderstorms, but occasionally some dynamic formations sweep through. I caught this one a few summers back.

This skyline with giant windmills at sunset is from last summer. Our area of Michigan has quite a few of these wind power generators dotting the skyline.

This Bald Eagle was in a local grassy field late last summer. I was pretty happy that he gave me enough time to capture this beautiful picture before flying off.

We've still got some time before it's warm enough to soak up the sun like these painted turtles out on a log in a local creek last summer...

I always get excited when local bucks start showing their velvet horns in the late spring. I caught this one last year in a local field.

Lucky timing. I managed to catch these two white-tail deer on a ridge in front of a pair of windmills last summer.
