I thought it was because your show loses $40 million a year and, even though you have the most viewers in your segment (late-night talk shows), that segment is dwindling fast as streaming takes over. Plus, CBS is trying to merge with Skydance & they don’t want unprofitable shows on their books.

Pretty sure he was talking about eggs with that statement so, to apply it now to beef prices is disingenuous. Plus,the article states beef prices have been rising for the past 20 years due to supply problems so that hardly any one president’s fault.
