Sunrise over 'Les Mourres' near Forcalquier in the South of France. Millions of years ago, limestone deposits formed around seaweed tufts, later covered by other rocks. When the area was lifted up and the Alps formed, the softer limestone eroded away, leaving these remarkable club-shaped rocks.
