A sus2 feels still and serene like a quiet lake, and I never really hear it resolve to a minor chord because it's not as sweet.

It might also do with intervalic distance. The 2nd/9th can blend in more with other voices, whereas the 4th/11th gets contentious when you extend to the 7th.

You could posit it that way since a sus4 falls down to a major chord by a semitone, and a sus2 rises to a minor chord by a semitone.

I usually think of them more by purpose and descriptor.
Sus4 feels more holy and loves resolving and cadancing since it dances sweetly to the third of a major chord.
