I design software. I also work on Air Lookout in my free time. But, I’m most likely taking photos of something boring.
I made some improvements to my moon photo process, and therefore I have convinced myself it’s marginally sharper
- disabled vibration reduction on lens
- disabled IBIS
- stabilized tripod on concrete
- 10s timer instead of 2s (!!!!)
although, full moons are more boring because they look flat

I was on a quest to get 1000mm+ focal length for under $1000. By combining a used Nikon 200-500mm + Nikon 1.4x teleconverter and adapting it to my Fujifilm XT5 40MP APS-C camera it's effectively 1050mm. ✅
