Because they have staff, they have people that rely on the jobs provided, they have people rely on the services they provide.
That they won't go to bat for us is unfair, but that's why.
It obviously is a bad sign as it'll probably mean other charities don't have our back. Feels hopeless.

Charities do not have unlimited funds to challenge bad actors and if that goes bust, then they aren't there to fulfil their mission.

I get it. Working for a charity, they have to be so wary that a bad actor might not decide to drain the coffers and fuck it up for the purpose of the charity.
